Yuanyuan is a dedicated leader connecting innovation teams worldwide, leveraging his extensive professional knowledge and interest in various fields. He collaborates with researchers and scientists while utilizing his deep understanding of the Chinese market to guide teams through development, prototyping, and commercialization. His passion and relentless support have earned him a wide network of industry experts, companies, and financial institutions, benefiting new partners and advancing the Center’s mission of fostering enduring collaboration. Yuanyuan holds a bachelor's and master's from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University.
Qianlei leverages her deep understanding of Europe’s technological landscape to build strong collaborations between Chinese and European talent. Focused on sustainable development, she establishes overseas incubators with meticulous attention to local market trends and details. She actively introduces international entrepreneurial projects to China, using data-driven market research to align projects with suitable markets. Her outstanding communication skills help secure favorable policies and terms from local governments, benefiting startups significantly. Qianlei holds a bachelor’s in Management Science and a master’s in Urban Policy and Practice from the University of Glasgow.
Yezhen’s work experience in England, China, and Germany has equipped her with crucial insights into various work cultures. With her analysis of the international market and regional differences, she consulted for two British start-ups and one Russian private office. In embracing cultural diversity, she is effective in communicating with teams and companies. In BTC, she manages the team that plans, develops and rolls out innovative solutions that deliver improvements to our business and the partners.
Yezhen received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Manchester and master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Yanbin, with over 13 years of experience studying and working in Germany, brings extensive international entrepreneurial expertise. Recognized by Zhejiang Province's "Taizhou 500 Elite Program," he excels in supporting overseas talent, entrepreneurial teams, and startups in establishing businesses in China. Yanbin has founded a business association and organized major conferences in collaboration with other groups. He holds a bachelor's degree in Measurement and Control Technology from Changchun Technology University and a master's in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from Technische Universität Darmstadt.
Xin was a key researcher at Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung and employed to work on government projects. He is also experienced working as an international sales manager in FemtoFiberTec GmbH. His fields of expertise include optoelectronics, spectroscopies, fiber optics, electrochemistry, laser micro-processing, multi-physics simulation, system development, and the algorithm implementation.
Xin received his bachelor’s degree in optoelectronics from Beijing Institute of Technology and then studied at Technische Universitat Clausthal and Universitat Potsdam. He did his PhD study at Freie Universitat Berlin and Max Planck Society Fritz Haber Institute.
Liu has been studying and working in Germany since 2013, gaining expertise in communication and teamwork. She has held positions in diverse, multicultural teams at universities and research institutes, organizing international summer camps, surveys, field trips, and business forums. Passionate about creativity and collaboration, Liu fosters innovation through interdisciplinary exchanges and interviews with researchers. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy from Wuhan University of Science and Technology, a Bachelor's in Finance from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, a Diplom degree in Materials Science from Technische Universität Dresden, and is currently pursuing a PhD at Technische Universität Berlin.
Ling manages the daily operations of BTC and has a strong background in both research and management. While at Freie Universität Berlin, she contributed to research projects, transforming her knowledge into practical products. Her technical expertise sets her apart from others in similar roles, allowing for efficient communication with BTC's clients without excessive jargon. Ling’s experience also helps her understand and prioritize the needs of BTC's projects and clientele, enabling her to organize events effectively. She holds a Master and Bachelor of Engineering from Xidian University in China and a Doctor of Natural Science from Freie Universität Berlin.
Jiayu has over twelve years of experience studying and working abroad in technology innovation, research, technology transfer, and project management. He was a key member of several renowned research teams and received a DFG grant to work at the Institute of Nuclear Physics at the University of Mainz. Jiayu contributed to the KATRIN experiment, focusing on mathematical modeling and simulator coding. Skilled in both research and technology application, he also facilitates collaboration in science and technology and introduces projects and talent to China. Jiayu was a founding member of BTC. He holds degrees from Zhejiang University, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and a PhD from the University of Mainz.
Doris has a deep interest in technology’s societal impact, explored during her economics studies at Bergische Universität in Wuppertal. In the early 1980s, she examined microelectronics' consequences and co-authored Germany's first book on AOL in 1996. Passionate about Germany-China collaboration, she has significant cross-cultural teamwork experience and learned Chinese at university. With a strong background in project management, she quickly grasps new projects and manages them effectively. At BTC, Doris is the main contact for Research Fellows and companies looking to collaborate with Yangtzedelta Institutes in China.
Yufei has extensive experience in large-scale local and international projects, including managing incubators in Northern Europe and Southeast Asia. She is responsible for the Haina Research Center at Tsinghua Yangtze Delta Region Institute in China, which oversees 19 innovation research centers and 13 start-ups. The Haina Research Center supports overseas hi-tech talents with services in finance, science, technology, and academia. Yufei holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Oklahoma City University and a Master's in International Relations from Nanyang Technological University.
Charlie has over 12 years of experience in the machinery industry, working in roles from engineering design to senior management. She was the youngest Special Assistant to the President at Xi'an XD Group and later served as Chief Representative of Grand China at GEA Group. Charlie has worked on key projects, including a transformer joint venture in the Philippines and HVDC transmission projects in Sweden and Germany. Since 2009, she has been in education, leading the Finance MBA Program at CKGSB, one of China’s top business schools. She holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University and an MBA from CKGSB, and is currently a research associate at the Technical University of Munich.
Dr. Zhang Hao, co-founder of the German Cardiovascular Center, holds medical degrees from Tongji Medical University and Kiel University, and a doctorate from the University of Mainz. He is an attending physician in vascular medicine at Mainz University Hospital, a consultant for Chinese and German companies, and a visiting professor at top Chinese hospitals. With extensive experience in medical practice and management, he has successfully facilitated business collaborations between German and Chinese companies.
