Leading an exceptional team, Yuanyuan is committed to reaching out to and connecting with innovation teams all around the globe. His professional knowledge and interests in many fields motivate him to work alongside with researchers and scientists. With insights in and a comprehensive grasp of the Chinese market, Yuanyuan safeguards teams and their projects throughout the convoluted path from development, to prototypes, and to commercialization. Yuanyuan’s inexhaustible passion and unrelenting effort in supporting teams has won him abundant connections with industry experts, companies and financial institutions, all which can be used to benefit new partners, furthering the Center’s core principle in creating a union that can truly withstand time.
Yuanyuan received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tsinghua University and Ph.D. from North Carolina State University.

About Qianlei

With Qianlei’s unique perspective into the future of technological development in Europe, she has been able to establish a strong alliance between talents in both China and Europe. In establishing overseas incubators, she aims for sustainable development and effective implementation, both facilitated by her almost perfectionist pursuit of details and market trend unique to the local area. Meanwhile, Qianlei has been actively involved in introducing overseas entrepreneurship projects to China. She believes in concrete statistics and individualized market research, a reflection of her dedication to finding the right place for the right project. Also, her exceptional communication skill helps projects win favorable policies and terms from the local government, which have proven significant to all start-ups.
Qianlei received her bachelor’s degree in Management Science and master’s degree in Urban Policy and Practice from University of Glasgow.

About Yezhen

Yezhen’s work experience in England, China, and Germany has equipped her with crucial insights into various work cultures. With her analysis of the international market and regional differences, she consulted for two British start-ups and one Russian private office. In embracing cultural diversity, she is effective in communicating with teams and companies. In BTC, she manages the team that plans, develops and rolls out innovative solutions that deliver improvements to our business and the partners.
Yezhen received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Manchester and master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Yanbin Wu

About Yanbin

Yanbin has rich experience in work and entrepreneurship abroad with studied and lived in Germany for more than 13 years. Yanbin was selected ‘Taizhou 500 Elite Program’ by the local government in Zhejiang Province. With abundant entrepreneurial experience, he can better serve overseas talent, entrepreneurial teams and start-ups to China to start a business or project. He established a business association and organized several large conferences with other associations.
Yanbin received his bachelor’s degree in Measurement and control technology and instruments from Changchun Technology University and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from Technische Universität Darmstadt.

About Xin

Xin was a key researcher at Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung and employed to work on government projects. He is also experienced working as an international sales manager in FemtoFiberTec GmbH. His fields of expertise include optoelectronics, spectroscopies, fiber optics, electrochemistry, laser micro-processing, multi-physics simulation, system development, and the algorithm implementation.
Xin received his bachelor’s degree in optoelectronics from Beijing Institute of Technology and then studied at Technische Universitat Clausthal and Universitat Potsdam. He did his PhD study at Freie Universitat Berlin and Max Planck Society Fritz Haber Institute.

Liu Yang

About Liu

Liu has been studying and working in Germany since 2013. With her solid expertise, excellent communication and teamwork skills, she had hold positions in the multi-cultural and diverse teams at universities and research institutes. She had organized international summer camps, participated in large-scale surveys, organized field trips to factory parks and co-organized business forums. She has a passion for creativity and believes that collaboration develops strong relationships and fosters innovation. She has been facilitating the collaboration in science and technology through diverse interdisciplinary exchange activities and interviews with domestic and foreign researchers from different disciplines and analysis of market reports.
Liu received her Bachelor degree in Metallurgy from Wuhan university of science and technology and Bachelor degree in Finance from Huazhong university of science and technology, Diplom degree of Materials Science (Dipl.-Ing) from Technische Universität Dresden and is doing her PhD study at Technische Universität Berlin.

Dr. Ling Sun

Manage the daily operation of BTC

About Ling

Ling is responsible for the management and daily operation of BTC. During her time at Freie Universität Berlin, Ling was highly involved in research projects where she had the chance to turn her knowledge into actual products and cultivated her capability in management role. Ling’s abundant knowledge in theories and experience in application fill the technical gap other people on the same position might not have. Her technical background enables her to more effective communication with BTC’s clienteles that extra explanation on jargons or theories will appear redundant. Her own experience facilitates her understanding the projects and business BTC incubates, and she can thus arrange events accordingly and prioritize the clienteles’ needs.
Dr. Ling Sun received her Master and Bachelor of Engineering from Xidian University in Xi’an, China. She received Doctor of Natural Science from Freie Universität Berlin (Free University of Berlin).

Dr. Jiayu Hua

About Jiayu

Jiayu had over twelve-year experience studying and working overseas and had hold positions on technology innovation, research, technology transfer, and projects management. Having a prominent academic life, Jiayu was a core member in several famed research teams and received DFG fund (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) to work in the institute of nuclear physics in the University of Mainz. He was also involved in KATRIN, the Karlsruhe Tritium Neutrino experiment, and responsible for the mathematical modeling and simulator coding.
Experienced in working in the technology sector, Jiayu is adept in, apart from researches and technology application, facilitating the collaboration in science and technology and introducing projects and talents to China. He was one of the key founding members of BTC.
Jiayu received his bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University, master’s degree from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and PhD from the University of Mainz.

Doris Kettenhofen

About Doris

Enthusiasm for technology and thinking in contexts was already evident during her studies in economics at the Bergische Universität in Wuppertal. In the early 1980s, for example, she was already concerned with the social and economic consequences of microelectronics. And in 1996, she co-authored the first German book about an Internet provider, “AOL ganz einfach”. Doris is enthusiastic and optimistic about cooperation and exchange between Germany and China and has extensive experience in cross-cultural teamwork. She even learned some Chinese when she was still at the university.
Her broad professional experience as a project manager, project coordinator, and commercial unit manager in various branches enables her to quickly grasp the key points in new projects and coordinate the processes accordingly.
At the BTC, she is the first point of contact for Research Fellows who wish to collaborate with Yangtzedelta Institutes. This applies equally to established companies and start-ups looking for partners concerning development, industrialization, and commercialization in China.

Yufei Wu

About Yufei

With Yufei’s background and expertise, she has endeavored in many large-scale local and international projects, including taking charge of the incubators in Northern Europe and Southeast Asia. She is also responsible for Haina research center in Tsinghua Yangtze Delta Region Institute in China, which owns 19 innovation research centers and 13 start-ups &commercialized companies at present. Haina research center is the innovation ecosystem for overseas hi-tech talents, providing well-rounded services such as financial, science and technology, and academic support.
Yufei received her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Oklahoma City University, USA and Master’s degree in International Relations from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

About Qian

Charlie has over 12 years of rich working experiences in machinery industry covering from engineering design to senior management, including electrical engineer and historically youngest Special Assistant to President for Xi’an XD Group and later in GEA Group subsidiary as the Chief Representative of Grand China, participating in many key pillar projects. Her early overseas working experiences included participation in the transformer joint-venture setting-up in Philippine, and HVDC transmission cooperation projects in Sweden and Germany. Since 2009, she joined into education field as Senior Manager in CKGSB, which is one of the most prestigious business school in China to help set up and lead Finance MBA Program.
Charlie received her bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University and MBA from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB). She is now also a research associate at Technical University of Munich.
